Our Staff

Here at Walnut Grove Christian Daycare, we take pride in the work we do for God's children.  We realize that children are gifts from the Almighty God and strive to give each child quality care.  With this in mind, we take great care in the way we hire each employee. This is why it is a requirement that all of our employees receive CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety training, as well as their required clearances.  We also mandate that each employee take a minimum of 6 hours of additional education classes per year.  Our goal is to provide a safe, yet Christ-centered environment for your child.

Daycare Director

   

     Dawn Schran

Hello, My name is Dawn Schran and I am the Daycare Director here at Walnut Grove. I have been a member of Walnut Grove Assembly of God practically since before I was born, My parents were one of the first families to attend when the church started in 1982. I gave my life to God at the age of 7, and have been serving the Lord ever since. I love Walnut Grove Assembly of God and look at it as my second home. I am very involved in many aspects of the church. I have helped with Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, taught for our Wednesday night program, provided childcare for many different activities, sang in the choir, and helped to start a singles ministry.  I have had  experience caring for children for over half my life. I attended CCAC where I received  my Associate's Degree in Business Management and completed  most coursework towards an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been on 2 mission's trips to Mexico where I did outreaches in the communities. In my free time I like to read, spend time with family and friends, go explore God's creation, and have fun making things.
